Coach Dwayne Follete is a native of Plymouth Massachusetts where he was an all Scholastic baseball and football captain. After High School, Coach Follete attended Brandeis Unversity where he graduated with a B.S. in economics. Coach was a 4 year starting catcher, 2 year captain and 3 time Greater Boston All-star. in 1984 he was selected as an All-New England catcher and 2nd team All American. After College, Coach Follette returned home to take over as head baseball coach at Plymouth North High School. He has compliled a 216 and 99 carrer win mark and has qualified for the state tournament in each of those 15 years.
Coach Follete's teams have won 8 Atlantic Coacst League Titles and the 2008 State Championship. This years squad finished a perfect 26-0, were Ranked #1 in the state and 7th nationally in the USA Today/Espn Poll. Coach Follette was named the Division 2 Coach of the Yearin 2008 and honored he claimed in 2003 also.
Coach Follete has over 23 years of coaching experience including his work with High School football, girls basketball and wrestling. He is actively inovled in virtually every youth athletic league in Plymouth and has a signifigant coaching tree in each of those sports including Mikio Aoki and Eric Podbelski, current head coaes at Boaston College and Wheaton respectfully. Many of his former players have reached a very a high level, most recently, Scott Saverstano who was drafted by the Seattle Marinars and played this season for triple a Tacoma.
